Almost time to drop back and punt....and start this thread all over.

Sorta turned into a ball of confusion.

At any rate.... Not the worst thing that ever happened, using spacer lift for a MILD lift on a street truck. However, 3" is NOT a mild lift on a Tacoma. 2" is about the drop dead limit on lift's WITHOUT requiring aftermarket UCAs to get adequate caster. Why would you use a $75 lift and $750 UCAs to make em work....?

Depending on tire size, lift isnt always the answer to eliminate tire rub on Tacomas. Things like cab mount chops, flattening the pinch weld, removing mud flaps, and trimming fenders/fender flares usually accomplish as much or more to create tire clearance.

Cheap spacer lifts are usually a waste of time and money. Do it right. If you do a spacer lift, stay 2" or less.

Spacers alone can cause issues with suspension travel. You'll run out of shock travel long before the suspension travel ends....causing shocks to be the "bump stop". This can end with broken/bent shocks. With the suspension design on a Tacoma, that reults in collapsed suspension.... NOT a desired result.

Long story short...skip the spacers over 2" or if you plan on doing any real off roading.

    BTDT....tossed the spacers years ago..
