1st time member & Tacoma owner

just wanted to say Hi,,, I just got a new to me 2001 Tacoma and I love it,,,coming from a older beefed up pathfinder but got a deal I couldn't pass up, new frame, springs and brackets, timing belt just done but some quirks I need to address so found TW by searching questions online..

thanks its funny cause my wife had the same year 4runner but for some reason I like way this drives better,,,, I have a little rot on that hood and the bottom of the tailgate.. wanted to ask everyone if I should get a new hood and tailgate for this truck or look for used? there is a little rot spot on the rocker so again I can maybe fix that but,,, hmm should I let a body shop just replace the hood and gate and touch up the rust spots then paint to match...

my headlight lenses are faded too,, I still can see but not the brightest should I replace them if so buy where?

 

Welcome to TW...lots of aftermarket headlights to choose from. Now...paint and body,with what’s already been done to it I would consider having a complete paint job. I think you’ll find it would be a good investment considering Tacoma’s resale value.

 

found a tailgate on CL I might get today,,,,, whats the best site you guys use for buying parts for older tacomas?
