I think it did come with instruction, but I followed by what people did on the forums.

No cutting at all, I forgot what's it called, but there is a piece connected to the oem ypipe that's make it annoying take out. If you search around the forums there's picture of what I'm talking about during the install.

I figured I would add to this thread my feedback. About 6 months ago I ran the MagnaFlow exhaust. I did feel like it helped "bring the motor alive more" but to be honest the sound just wasn't for me, almost like a low drone at around 2-3k rpm with minimal load. It was too loud for me to rationalize the gains for me. I sold that and figured I was done for awhile messing with he exhaust but found a good deal on a TRD Cat-Back last week. I could not pass this up and installed it that day I bought it. My intake is the stock box but with a TRD reusable filter with the carbon filter removed. Initial impressions after 1 day of driving is that I love the sound. I feel like it's quieter in some respects compared to stock but when I get on the gas it's a nice "smooth" growl sound compared to the stock and not as overbearing as the Magnaflow. As far as performance goes I definitely feel on my butt dyno more power. Lately due to all the weight on the back of my truck with my camper and my RTT I've been on a quest to drive more conservatively to see what the best gas mileage I can get. Well I drove that same way on a trip with the new Cat-Back system and got 1 mpg per gallon better than I have seen in the last month when driving this way. Actually better than I have seen on this truck since I started adding all the weight which was 19 mpg. So, to sum this up. I am very happy. For those of you on the fence on this if you have the money I say definitely go for it. But if the funds are tight it's definitely something that could wait. I also was so happy with the results that I just put in my order last night for the TRD intake to see if that helps too with my power and gas mileage. Honestly if I can just get one more mile per gallon I would be happy. For someone like me that's running 285 70 17 tires a camper and an RTT I'm just trying to get all the help I can right now with the extra power to pull the weight and added mpg.

I'm in the exact same boat. I was told the intake wouldn't do anything but make it sound better, but it completely changed the way my truck drives. Couldn't be happier with it. Looking to add the exhaust as well.

If you want an even deeper growl, replace the stock air filter that has a resonator in it that reduces sound for one without the resonator.

I’m putting the Borla exhaust on mine.

I have a used ( 2k miles or so) TRD exhaust for a 3rd gen. Double Cab Short Bed available. Sounds great. Deep growl. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. If anyone is interested PM me.

I did the same on my auto trans. Nice sound.

That's got a nice sound to it. The No Drone aspect makes it even more attractive.

    a few...
    Bump

I have had the cat-back Borla exhaust and TRD Air filter on my truck for just over a year now which is performing well especially since I installed the 1.04 91oct OV Tune just under a month ago. The OV tune completely transforms the truck in many very positive ways.

Question: has one installed the URD Mark 2 version of our Y pipe with their aftermarket cat-back exhaust and using the OV tune? @OVTune

I’m seriously considering the URD mk2 y-pipe and was wondering if anyone had feedback. Thanks.
