What should the next mod be???
Hi i am new to the street truck world. I have always had a lifted truck, and recently bought a 2001 Tacoma 5-speed 2wd as my daily fun truck. Also it great on gas. since i have owned the truck i have purchased wheels and tires (AVID.1 AV-20), led headlights, and tinted the windows. I am looking into lowering it a few inches, whats my best options. Another thing. what are the do or dont's on here. I do not want to start a conflict with other members. What do you think about the truck so far. many more mods to come.

Nice, i like any tastefully modded vehicle, wheatger its lifted or lowered. Just needs to be cohesive. I woulda gone with a s10 or blazer personally. I plan to get a 2door blazer for my fun truck

I like the rims you picked out! Can't wait to see it dropped...

Looking forward to your future mods to come.

That all depends on you, but minimum 2" I'd say to at least close the wheel gap to an appropriate level. A 3/4" drop should still be very streetable as well.

If you are looking for a mild drop, I would do a ball joint flip and remove the middle leaf. that should be about 3/4"

Hey, somebody who is in the same place as me, trying to spruce up a new ride! Those rims are nice, and that truck looks like it's in great shape. I'm trying to decide on the best way to lower mine too. I think for starters, I'm going to get a cheap 3" block/u-bolt kit for the rear, just to level it out some until I can get the funds to buy a proper 3/4 kit.

Where did you get those LED headlights, and are they just plug-in swaps?

...And I just noticed how old this thread was. Did you make any progress on it?

bj flip and middle leaf removed is the cheapest route. then save up for springs and 2-3" block if you want to go lower.
