Reverse lights are considered novelty lights and not even required in va. Pull the sockets out of the housing and bulbs and you don't even need them to pass. Do led brake lights fail too ?

If it’s not OEM and have the DOT stamp then yes, I would presume so.

If headlights are mounted they have to work so removing the bulbs won't pass either. So much grey area in the inspection documents

I'm still trying to comprehend why led backups fail. Lumens are lumens who cares about the source. Headlights I can see as they have to project.

Sockets removed from backups will pass. Backup lights do not have to work.

LED bulbs must not be an approved bulb because they are not stock. Grey area as usual.

Same as the people complaining about having the fog light anytime mid failing. My inspector looked in the book and said it doesn't say how many lights can be used at one time. Now if the inspector sees aftermarket wiring that's weird then I could see it

I found out we use Sand Blasting Experts, 506 Barnes Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23324 (757) 494-9000 to do our larger items, a bumper or bigger won't fit in our blasters, but I know we can powder coat.

I like the softoppers way better. I regret selling mine I’ll be getting another one soon. The ability to take it up and down and price made it a no brainer. I had a ARE for awhile and it was meh. I hated the commitment to it and it makes the truck look too much like an SUV.

I look at the NE one more than anything. I think there’s a SE yard sale thread though. But if you post in the NE thread what you want, there’s a few people that’ll look all over for you

I love my Bestop besides the fact I have to store the windows somewhere which isn't too big of a deal since I removed the plastic cubby behind the rear seats. I actually just cleaned it well and used the UV protectant on it Thursday. You must have seen us in the morning as we headed out to vacation down in URE.
