    Nice Build so far!!
I have a 2004 Ext Cab, and just ordered the OME 3" lift, with SPC UCA's, and mostly everything you did for yours (I got the 883 coils instead bc I have an ARB bumper, and Warn M8000 up front).

    Couple of questions for ya:

    1. I ordered my kit, and was told the extended brake line was not necessary, but seems like everyone gets it anyways. Do you find that it is necessary?
    2. Why did you go with your tire size? (I am still deciding between 255/85/16 or the ever popular 285/75/16. Undecided bc of rubbing and trimming issues that I don't want to deal with)
    3. How do you like the Falkens and why did you got with that tire? (I am looking at either the BFG KM2 or Cooper ST MAXX.)

    Thanks! (my current build.....stock, 265/75/16 BFG KO2's on steelies)IMG_5980.jpg

First of all, awesome truck!I love the steelie look I was guna go that route, but found a killer deal on the F5's.

    1. I ordered my kit, and was told the extended brake line was not necessary, but seems like everyone gets it anyways. Do you find that it is necessary?

It's not necessary, from what I've been told its a good idea. Id rather have the extra length, and not work about ripping out the brake line. It's kinda like the UCA's, you don't need them to run the lift, but then again you run the risk of shitty alignment and wearing down your tires. The rear brake line is about $40, i think its worth the investment.

Why did you go with your tire size? (I am still deciding between 255/85/16 or the ever popular 285/75/16. Undecided bc of rubbing and trimming issues that I don't want to deal with)

I went with 285/75/16's be cause its the inbetween, not really cookie cutters and not wide like 33X12R16.

3)How do you like the Falkens and why did you got with that tire? (I am looking at either the BFG KM2 or Cooper ST MAXX.)

So far the Falken’s are great on road and off, my first time off road with them, I ran over a huge hunk of metal and it got logded in the passengers side front tire. I found it when I was going over the truck, in the staging area of an ohv. It was super deep, I was sure it punctured. After I pulled it out, everything was great. No punctured, tires held up great.

I went with the falken’s mainly because the price was right, I had to buy 5 so I needed to keep costs down.

Basically I liked the falkens enough to buy a set of Ats for my gfs jeep.

In the end of installing my lift, I ended up just chopping the exhaust, and used that mounting location for the rear bumper, also didn’t install the diff drop. I’m going the cv boot mod route

Thanks for the insight and answering my questions. I greatly appreciate it. I run 5 of the same tire on all my rigs so I understand the cost aspect. Maybe I will just keep the steelies, and figure out which tire to run from there. So many decisions....lol

So fancy, they sit just a bit higher which is nice. The install required some fab work but was pretty straight forward

Repositioned the tire carrier, moved it a bit higher/closer to the swing out and gave it a little tilt forward.
