2010 TRD Sport Double Cab. Has anyone up graded their stock radio to a later year Gen. 2 radio or aftermarket radio? Just looking into possible doing it. Wouldn't mind blue tooth and touch screen, GPS and other bells and whistles.

I attempted to upgrade my 2011 with a 2013 radio, Toyota changed the wiring harness sometime in the interim.

I just can't sit and do nothing to mod my vehicles at almost 76 don't feel like attempting any heavy mechanical mods. Haven't had a car or Truck yet that I haven't changed or modifies in some way.

I just used one of those wiring harnesses from AXXESS, for me it just required a little bit of wire connecting from the AXXESS harness to the aftermarket decks connector, I soldered mine but you could always just clamp it or use electrical tape to connect it.
I had the JBL system in mine so I use this specific one, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00133RCCC/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 unsure on your setup so you may need a different one.

Upgraded mine to a single din Pioneer unit. Works great, has some features I don't use. Requires a new dash assembly. Pioneer also has double din radios that have more features that you might prefer. FWIW, Pioneer advertises significantly greater receiver sensitivity than all the other major manufacturers. That equates to better reception of weaker stations.

I put in a Pioneer AVH-2330NEX with a iDatalink Maestro RR. It gave me everything I needed Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay/Android auto, HD Radio pretty much everything the stock radio was lacking. It definitely improved the sound of the stock speakers also, but I eventually replaced all those also hahaha.

What radio did you use? What extras did you need? Did you hook up backup camera to yours? Looking to do my 2011 base and utilize my stock camera that has no monitor

This radio came from a yaris. I took an original black radio, cut the face out and stuck the radio instead. Power and speaker connector fitted right in.

Used this microphone and mounted it by steering wheel.

I am still hunting for camera and harness but it has connector in the back.

For usb thumbdrive I used this cable
    https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/231614229161

Also needed this connector for 28pin input in the back.
    https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/292533812872
You need this one for power steering controls and microphone.

    Finally this one for antenna
    https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/192476347389

Since mine is a 2007 it didnt come with camera but looking for one so I can retrofit.

This right here. I put in a double-DIN JVC and it's awesome.

That stereo looks exactly like the one in my FR-S. Are you sure you can get video out of it?

Ill find out soon.. It has the connector, this one came from a yaris and I think it also comes with the IQ but I believe its the same as your frs.. I am confident it will get video.. I ordered the connector already and have a regular camera to test with.. Will post findings.. Only problem is that the connector id coming from china.. Meaning it will take a few weeks to find out

$20 for a pre wired harness....makes it much easier...still a single lead IIRC to

connect for the S/W controls..they'll supply face plate also

I actually have 2 dash kits I cant use. The dimensions of the hole dont match with the OEM radio. If you compare a toyota OEM radio vs an aftermarket you'll be able to see why I cant use it. Thats why I had to use the face of an original radio and cut is as close to fit as possible. This radio is slight wider and shorter compared to an aftermarket.
