No, I didn't get them yet. I have the standard ones (20 deg.) on my truck right now but I'm looking to replace them with a low angle set with tread plates to make a better step.

Hoping to jump on the tax sale before the end of the month. If you get yours installed would you mind taking a picture and sharing it here? I'm also wondering how far the stick out and how much gap there is between the step and rocker panel.

I def will. However might not help with sale time. Having them shipped to Washington and bringing them up to Alaska on a boat. Won’t be here till mid April hopefully. Weather dependent. I was curious about concerns I’ve seen with holes not lining up but talked to them and seems that’s all been worked out. They now also have a clamp that wraps around the front for more stability. Sounds like there continuing to improve.

    Premium air in tires.
So I have the RCI sliders for my 2016 Tacoma DBLCB, short bed. The passenger side went on fine. But the driver's side has all the brake lines running behind the frame where the bolts are supposed to mount. I think I'm okay with most of the bolts, but the front bracket needs to be installed. I cannot reach behind the frame to hold the backer plates and bolts, because the brake lines are in the way. Do I need to remove and move the brake lines to reach back there?

I just installed mine on my 2018 Pro yesterday with a friend. That driver side was not fun, and getting the two bolts installed for the plate was a freaking nightmare (especially the second one that’s way up in there). We inlisted the help of a kid thinking the smaller arms would help but it made little difference. We were eventually able to get the washer and nut on by taping them just perfectly to the end of a stick and then carefully threading the bolt from the outside. Then you have to blindly get a wrench on the nut in order to tighten the damn thing.

My other issue with the driver side is the length of the bolts provided. The little box on the back side of the frame that houses some electronics and has to be removed has to be remounted right over the top one of the mounting points for the slider. The issue I had was that the bolt is so long (unnessessarily long) that it doesn’t allow room for the box to be reinstalled. I resorted to using about 6 washers on the outside of the frame so that there was enough clearance. I could have gone and found a shorter bolt, but stacking some washers was just easier.

Finally, I might just be paranoid, but a bolt coming out right between the two brake lines (see picture below) makes me nervous. Any recommendations on what I can put over the bolt to avoid any damaging rubbing on the brake lines?

All that aside, the sliders are awesome! I don’t really blame RCI for the issues I had (a couple extra bolts at different lengths would have been nice as I think some of the issues come from Toyota ever so slightly changing things). I would definitely recommend them - great company to work with, extremely reasonable shipping costs to California (and shipped to my door no less), and a short lead time compared to a lot of other vendors.

    Thanks RCI!

did you end up swapping out your 20 degree ones with the 5 degree ones? Putting an order in soon and I'm having the same conundrum of which to get and what they will look like.

    Cheers

Looking great - debating on a set of these or new SCS wheels.

Interested in a set of non-kickout as well - possible?
