sparkplug question

    I changed my sparkplugs today but I still have a little hesitation in the back of my mind and I cannot sleep...

    I followed my owner manual and here's what it says:

    2rz-fe & 3rz-fe engines
    Except LEV emissions
    DENSO K16R-U - 0.031 gap
    NGK BKR5EYA - 0.031 gap

    LEV emissions
    $5 DENSO K16R-U11 Denso 3120 Spark Plug
    DENSO K16R-U11 - 0.043 gap
    NGK BKR5EYA-11 - 0.043 gap

    My truck is rated both LEV (california) and federal emissions, so I put NGK iridium (BKR5EIX-11 - gap 0.044 but gapped at 0.040).
    The plugs I did pull were NGK BKR5EYA (which would mean they originally had 0.031 gap but were now past the 0.043 gap).

    Does that means the manual got a typo or I got the wrong gapped plugs? Or am I being confused for nothing?!?! Will it change anything if my plugs are gapped at 0.040 (which is also nearly in the middle between 0.031 and 0.043)?

    I see conflicting information online about the 0.031 gap being for 2rz & 3rz and the 0.043 gap being for the 5vz. Then manufacturers and autoparts stores listing 0.044 for 2000 3rz engine...... Does this conflicting information have something to do with plugs coils vs wires or what?

    very confused, so please, can anybody shed light on this and help me sleep?

    This is what the 2003 factory service manual specifies:
    Page SS–30 SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS – IGNITION (2RZ–FE, 3RZ–FE)
    2003 TOYOTA TACOMA (RM1002U) IGNITION (2RZ–FE, 3RZ–FE) SERVICE DATA
    Spark plug
    Recommended spark plug DENSO made K16R–U11
    Recommended spark plug NGK made BKR5EYA–U
    Correct electrode gap 1.1 mm (0.043 in.)

    I can tell you the ones i pulled out and new ones i put in we’re both .043

    by the way, 2000 and up 2rz and 3rz are spec'd at 0.043 while 1999 and lower are spec'd at 0.031. Strange no?
    Then I recall sparkplug coils did start on 2000 models. So it must be why, I guess...
