    The more the better.

But just be aware if it doesn't work out you may need to cut. Depends how good for alignment guys are and what they do for you

Just saying it's really not that bad. I've cut plenty and you can't notice it. I say just go all the way and do a 33"and trim lol

I don't really have any pictures that show but basically where the front mud flaps mount and all the plastic in the wheel well. A lot of it needed trimming

so talked to all the places today. Can get everything pretty quick. The tires are a bit of a bummer tho. I chose the 265/65/18 but was told they don't come in that size. Now i'm left with the 275/65/18 or the 265/70/18. The 265 will measure 1/2" taller which its going to be super tight where i might clear with the 275. the 275 however may rub but with the -12 offset, 2 places said it should clear. Thoughts? Didnt bring the 275 in this for the width. ruled it out a while back but now may be the only option

The -12mm offset increases the likelihood of rubbing body mount.

    Do they make a 265 60 18?

if it sticks out further, wouldn't it be less of a chance? Talked to a guy here that had the same 275 tire size. His just rubs slightly on big bumps but he hasnt modified his plastic.

Nada they don't. I may end up going geting one in that size from a local guy i know throwing it on, lift that side up and see what happens. I could always order them and if they dont work they fit my dads truck stock

the further out the tire goes the more likely it is to hit the body mount which is not plastic cutting lol thats full on metal cutting.

and lifting could possibly make it even more likely to rub as my 265 70 17 didn't rub before lift and rubbed after because it altered alignment to the point where it rubbed, but was just a matter of heat gun and push plastic back a tiny bit.
to think how easy it would be if you just went with 17s and a 265 70 17:boink:

and if you saw what @Norilsk just did with his in Ardbeg lol

The more this has gone on I’ve come to realize it’s just a total crap shoot. Only way you will ever know if going past the safe size on stock suspension is to buy it all and try it. Expensive experiment.
I’m cool with doing the heat gun.
    The metal....
Ya I saw his tire. That totally sucks. Not much you can do to prevent that besides a more heavy duty tire.

oh no I mean he did all of one of the toughest trails in our area on what he has now measured to be a 30.5" tire (265 75 16)

the body mount is really not bad to do lol. mine was $200 at CT motorsport and you can barely even tell anything's been cut.
it is a hit or miss yes, but youd be better off with a 17"
an 18 is going to ride like crap.

i can guarantee you that if you take a 275 off road you will definitely be rubbing and with any suspension articulation it will rub. It might be fine on the streets but anything else you will rub. Wouldn't doubt you'll have a rub pulling into the driveway too.

but ya its all a test of what wil happen. which is why I say either be prepared to have an expensive 'doesn't work' or just be ready to cut whatever is in the way.

Just remember that any rub will be wearing your tire faster.

Oh right. It’s a 31.5” lol I looked up soo many dam sizes.
I asked some guys that have 18’s they say they ride pretty good. Ya I know. I’d rather not go 275 but choices are getting slim. Unless I can somehow make the 265/70/18 work

Well width is usually more of an issue than height.

You figure guys run a 33" with a 255 width with very limited rubbing if anything just plastic trimming.

    18s look to mall crawl

Seems like these sizes are smack in the middle. Might go the trade rout and go a different tire
