Well my bracket is finished and found some time to do the wiring.

    Went from this
    FF084B21-C50B-4646-A46A-BE830C81524A.jpg

    To this
    FD52C7AF-5600-4B99-905F-5364EB25CFEF.jpg

Made the bracket out of 5053 1/8” aluminum, just using a vise, jigsaw, some drill bits and files.

Anyone get a random delay on unit power up after engine start? Most of the time my 9100 powers right up when the truck is started but once in a while it won't power up with the truck, sometimes within a minute or two it will finally power on. Anyone else have this issue?

I do not, but is your ground connection direct to the battery? Sometimes improper grounding can cause issues.

When connecting the main power cable to the positive battery terminal, did you guys just drill out the lug a bit to fit on the stock battery terminal?

Thanks. I just wanted to check. It seems to be the easiest way to get it attached to the battery.

Are you running of the A/C HVAC fuse? I was at first, the unit wouldn't power up until the fan turned on...

I finished my install today using the SDHQ panel and cabin mount. I used three Deutsch DTP connectors with Raychem DR-25 to give good weather resistance and wire protection. These connectors also don't take up too much space. None of the outputs are wired yet, but I've got everything for the front and rear cameras, so I'll do that pretty soon. I'll also wire up the ARB compressor once I figure out where I'm mounting my air hose disconnect.

I used the high beam, low beam, and injector fuses and drilled through the relay box.

So I’m a complete noob when it comes to wiring in general and at switchpros specifically. Can you explain the metal panel and all of the components on it?

I love the look and cleanliness of it, I just would need to know the purpose of it all

I have a dumb question, but want to make sure this works before I take the plunge.

Per my example, I am going to adding pods in my rear bumper and want to have them turn on when I throw my truck into reverse, but turn off when I shift back into drive or park. BUT, I also want to be able to turn these pods on if ever needed.

Can this be done with the 9100 and if so, how would one wire this? Any help is appreciated. I would like to do this as well but with rock lights tied in with my dome lights.

    100% for both.

I have all my forward facing lights triggered with the brights. I can also turn them on/off individually. Same for your reverse pods (only facing the other way). The 9100 has a couple trigger wires that sense a live circuit. You can program individual switches to turn on when those triggers activate.

The dome lights are a bit different, they are wired differently than most of the other lights and require a relay to activate correctly. @DSIM has a working harness for sale that solves the polarity issue. I have one but have yet to install it. Others have it installed and working like a champ. Look here for more info...

If MESO makes, I have it or am trying to get it!
    Just ordered mine. :spending:
Found a Canadian Shop with a decent price that carries them so saved a bit on the Cross-border BS. :canada: I am happy. Broke, but happy.
Have a couple of shelves in the garage that will finally get emptied of stuff once this is in and I can install them. Light bar, Ditch Lights etc...
I am going to make my own mount as it costs too much to get one here in the not-so-great and over-taxed Grey North. Exchange, Customs and Shipping tend to double prices (or more) up here. Shipping seems to suddenly have gone from reasonable to WTF? the last couple of weeks.
Will be doing a setup pretty much a copy of @Hodakaguy as that's exactly what I want. :hattip:

Glad this thread is here as it gave me the inspiration to get off my a$$ and get this ordered. Now to keep the motivation up to get it all installed :)

We need @mesojdm to use his superior design skills to develop a clear plastic cover for the terminal block and switch pros unit that mount to the powertray. Since I’ve ordered parts and started assembling my unit Switch Pros have revised their install instructions twice to recommend not installing horizontal and not using a terminal block. Perhaps installing in this fashion has caused some failures of the unit due to moisture buildup. A clear cover similar to the fuse block and bus bar would probably alleviate the problem.

So fair warning this is a 2nd Gen Question, but the 9100 thread is here so we will see how it goes. For the Gen2: has anyone hooked up their trigger wire to a reverse sign under the hood or in the dash? I would appreciate the help.

Have any of you guys had any issues related to water with mounting the power module horizontally?

Why would you need a cover for the switchpro, it’s the unit sealed/waterproofed already?

I’ve read from at least one member who had condensation from the wiring harness travel down into the switch pro and corrode the contact points. Switchpros response was to recommend not mounting horizontal only vertical like the SDHQ mount. Now they are saying don’t use a terminal block either as the terminal connections may corrode.

I've been eyeing the switch pros but at ~ $550, i'm wondering if it's worth it if I will likely never use most of the fancy features (that i imagine most people don't use. it'd be nice to control things from my phone..true and the dimmer feature but outside of that, do y'all think it was worth the $? my other option is basically just to get a blue sea fuse box and run ch 4x4 switches...sure it'd b a bigger pain every time i want to add an accessory, but shouldn't take more than 20-30 min even for a novice at electrical like myself. thoughts?
