Slow '17 TRD Pro Build and Advice Thread

Hey all, Picked up a 17 TRD Pro while stationed overseas. The goal is a rig that my family and I can live out of for a week or two at a time. Just moved to Florida, so the mountains out west will be a drive for the next few years. Haven't had the time/money to do a lot, but Im looking to make this a long-term project to enjoy with the kids and wife.

Accomplished to Date:
Softopper
ARB Single Compressor on a Slee Offroad Engine Compartment Mount

Planned (in the next year):
33'' tires. Looking at the BF Goodrich KO2s. I don't think they will rub with the stock suspension
Warn Winch on a C4Fab low profile winch bumper
Pelfrybilt Sliders

Longer Term TBD, but I think Ill find some good ideas clicking around here.

Any suggestions/recommendations are welcome.

Just added a bed rack by Dissent Off-Road. Assembly was pretty easy to figure out, and I was able to mount it by myself. Seems well built, and it fits the Softopper really well. Cant wait to get a tent on it and hit the road.

 

Some Assembly Required.

 

285/75/16's will work with your stock suspension and wheels.

"Quick" out-and-back from FL to TN to pick up the RTT from CVT. Got the Denali Summit Extended to fit the whole clan.

My daughter helping with the build up.

Mounted, and almost done.

All opened up. "Kid tested, wife approved." She wanted to see how it was done, so I can attest that one person can setup/tear down in about 10 minutes.

Looks great, the fit of that bee rack over the softtopper is near perfect. Did you need to do a lot of research to find a rack to fit over it?

 

I tried to find one for a long time with no success. I actually asked about it in another thread and the owner of Dissent Offroad replied that their product would fit over the softopper. Talked to him a little bit and ordered one. They have a website https://dissentoffroad.com/ and are on here as well @Dissent86 . Great customer service and couldn’t be happier with the rack.

 

I started following his thread after finding your post. Awesome looking stuff. Right now what I really need is a roof rack for kayak duty and was pretty settled on a prinsu, but I like this more. The full rack over a softtopper seems like an awesome solution!
