Facebook peve

I will start that I am not on Facebook , but do look at some sites there. I cannot figure out why I get pop up that says xxx is on Facebook when I am already on a Facebook page. Am I missing something ? Seems doubly redundant.

 

They are hoping you’ll join up when you see some other contact of yours they’ve data-mined from you as you browse as a visitor, is a FB member. It’s a subtle “c’mon.....so and so is a user”.

Best advice I can give you is stay off FB. Even the special-interest groups on there are generally more poisonous than open-source stuff like TW. FB is a lurking evil of some kind. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something is really wrong with it. I don’t miss it in my life.
