    Decided to take my spacers off since the tires were rubbing with them on with the new wheels. Whilst taking them off, 5 of them on the passenger side straight sheared in half!

    WTF do I do now?

    My only thought is to drill a big hole in the lug stud in hopes that I can pop it off. It would be the lug stud on the spacer so I don’t really care. Otherwise, I am at a total loss.

    This is my daily so I need to get this done tonight. Thoughts?

    Well they wont slide off because the other half of the nut is still threaded on. If the rim would slide off, I wouldnt have an issue.

    Well then. That’s a first for me.

    Sorry OP but you should plan on arranging a ride to work tomorrow. I can’t think of any way to fix this without drilling the studs and replacing or damaging the wheel.

    I am going to go try to drill the stud out. That is the only way I think there is a chance. And then Ive got to find new lug nuts. I dont trust the other 18 either at this point.

    Impact put them on. Same impact wouldnt take them off. Had to get a breaker and apparently it did exactly that.

    Nuts are recessed in the wheel. Couldnt get to them to weld it on either way.

    Drilling studs might work but not sure how easy is to drill studs.

    How much thread of stud sticks out from rest of lug nut?

    Maybe drill a couple of holes accross each other on remainder of lugnut (between stud and remainder of lugnut)... and use needle nose pliers or something that'd reach to twist remainder off? Though if u drill too far you'd hit ur new wheel tho...

    Soak thread/holes with WD40 (or equivalent) and get a punch or something and tap them at an angle counterclockwise?

    Aluminum wheels? You could grab a wax bar and heat it up, let the wax run into the threads. As it cools it creates space. Similar to ice expanding. Use to work great on rusted shit all the time at the shop. Might help bust them loose.
