    I think in their latest announcements Apple did say this Fall they are bringing 3rd party navigation apps like Waze and Google Maps to CarPlay when iOS 12 is released.

    Not unusual for Apple to behave that way.

    They're super confident that their way is the way to go, years later they realize that maybe it's not, then they catch up to what everyone else was already doing for a long time and pretend they're being new and innovative.

    I've dealt with iPads for years in K-12 and it's one of the reasons why they have almost no market share anymore. Took them 7 years to get it almost right, and there are still glaring flaws with using that platform.

    Go to Europe and ask for an ice coffee and see the looks you get. It's hilarious. When I was working in Spain in 2004-2005 I would ask for an ice coffee every morning at the marina I was at, along with my toast and orange marmalade, it would come as a scorching hot coffee in a tall glass with one ice cube that barely lasted till it got to the table.
