If you’re looking into aftermarket 16x8 wheels I can tell you that the American Racing Baja 172 wheels DO NOT clear the front breaks, however the Mickey Thompson Classic iii look very similar and DO fit just fine. The MTs are even hub centric (106.1mm) and do not require any kind of hub centric rings. Some 16x8s can be hard to fit on the 2nd and 3rd gen Tacoma’s due to those front calipers so if you were looking at classic style 16s the MTs, although a bit more pricey, will fit. The American Racing wheels will fit the 1st gen Tacos I believe.

Thanks! 4.5 inch backspacing and 0mm offset. This will pretty much ensure that the wheels are flush against the fender.

Good looking Tacoma. Off topic but what the heck. What kind of exhaust did you install? Been looking for an exhaust system that directs the exhaust more toward the back of the truck. I have a white truck and the exhaust combined with road dust stains the paint behind the rear wheel.
