    Yeah, I hear ya. Most likely an early 5th Gen Trail Edition - unless I'm super lucky to find a later 5th Gen for under 25k with decent miles.

    Get one of you on a cassette toilet, cooking on a skottle (using a maxxtrax as a cooking utincil) , while in a hard shell roof top tent, with some goal zero solar panels, and an arb awning (with American flag fabric) flying in the background, and an arb hydraulic jack somewhere in the mix!!!!

    I find at times I'll run out of space in the 4runner with two kids up camping. Day trips are not any issue. Nice the the gear stays dust free and dry. There are times I think I should have built a 2nd gen Taco instead.

    Sure like your build. Makes me seriously consider a 4th Gen 4R.

    Problem with the Taco - it will be my wife's DD and she is not very enthusiastic about it.

    About the room issue. Plan is such:

    Long Term - Off Road Tear Drop similar to Hiker Trailer - self build.

    Medium/Short Term - RTT - OZ Awning and Tent that attaches to it. When trailer done, move tent and awning over and have a "camp" setup and the 4R as exploring vehicle.
