Increase A/C performance

As the title says, what can I do the increase the performance of the A/C system?

Due to medications and a condition I ha EA a I am extremely heat intolerant.

    Basically...
70 F° to 75 F° : I begin to sweat profusely. Enough that my shirts become "wet" very quickly. This literally forces me to wear only specific clothes

75 F°- to 80 F° : I get dizzy, sweating gets worse. It becomes very difficult to do basic things.

80 F°+ : I begin to sweat like a monsoon and can't go more than 5 minutes without getting headaches and mental confusion. My body goes into *shock* , high heart rate, can't breath.

It sucks. I don't wish this crap that me, the mother unit, and grandmother unit all have, onto anyone.

I keep my room at home around 65 F° and that keeps me comfortable. Feels "normal".

Moving on to the current issue, as we have moved into summer and I realized my Taco's A/C isn't doing great. Getting her checked and recharged tomorrow but the shop told me that Tacoma's don't have the best A/C compared to others.

Assuming that the recharge does not fix the problem, what else can I do to increase performance? Aftermarket parts? Extra fans?

It would be nice to be able to get to work without having my shirt drenched and without feeling like death... :/

Easiest thing to do is change the cabin air filter. Hopefully you don't have a refrigerant leak, because that could cost a lot of money. Also if you charge your A/C with those cans you buy at Autozone or whatever, you'll most likely end up losing performance in your A/C system due to putting too much in or not enough. A/C systems are designed to work with a very specific amount of refrigerant weighed in lbs or kgs.

My gf has similar health conditions that are heat related

I just installed a pusher fan. Seems to help a bit at idle and slow speeds

Do you know what your vent temp is ? Mine gets to 42 degrees

You could add an electric pusher style cooling fan in front of the condenser. It would increase air flow at idle, but not make a much difference on the freeway.

You can also install a remote start system so that the a/c will run for a bit before you get into the truck and it will be cooler when you get in.

I don't know about increasing performance but I installed a remote start and it's pretty awesome. I can crank the truck a couple of mins before I get in and it's already cool

I know this is about your truck but why not move from Georgia? People move to the south to alleviate arthritis so if it's that severe that's what I would look into..

Insulate the cab and add heat barrier over the transmission and firewall, it'll have the added benefit of reducing road noise. There is basically no insulation in these trucks from the factory.

Your mechanic is wrong. If the system is operating correctly, the AC in our trucks is excellent.

Tinting the windows is a cheap way to keep heat at Bay as well.

That looks awesome! How did you with it?

Also, I doubt mine gets to 42 °F but I will check after work and let you know.

Would love to, but the entire family is here and I basically have zero chance of getting a career like I have now. I was lucky to get into where I am and work up haha.

    No insulation...? Why?

Can I do this without destroying the truck? Haha

Lastly, I was looking at that ceramic window tint. Anyone done it?

    How did I what?

Yeah mine runs 42 while driving but was 55-60 at idle which is why I installed the pusher.

Added one of these in my Amazon cart. Houston heat sucks ass I typically let my truck run for 15 min before getting in and going home
