The 888's provide around 2.75" of lift on a stock weight 2016+ 4dr 4wd v6 auto running the 3rd gen 5100's at the 0 setting. Lift from springs is variable, whether it is a coil spring or leaf spring. Meaning that the overall weight of the truck along with mfg tolerances of the springs can influence how much lift you see. So we publish the averages but with averages some people get more and some less. Now I see that you have sliders which affect the front end a little bit. Not as much as a bumper since they are not directly up front but that can come into play. I did see on another page that you purchased from 4wheel parts so I cannot speak to the actual product received or the installation to verify that you actually received what you paid for and that the assembly was done correctly but if you have questions regarding the items purchased I would venture to guess that they can help you out with this.

Thanx for the insight, i guess im on the bottom of the averages. I did find the paper tags on the spring for 888 so unless indecide to change my front suspension, i guess im stuck with what i got. I have steps and not slider so the weight impact is less. At this point, im going to install an 1” aal or leafpack to level it out more.

I'm looking to get bilstein 5100s with 884 ome coils and was wondering if anyone has exprienced any sag and if so how much? I read somewhere that ome coils will sag with the gen 3 tacomas because of the spring rate... anyone know if there's any truth to that?

What did you wind up doing to your Tacoma? I have a 2017 Double cab 4x4 and want to install some 5100s and don't know if I can use my stock springs, I am planning on only using the 2nd notch to lift the front .65"

I’ll be ordering within the next few weeks. Going to just do the 5100s on all four and set my fronts at 3rd notch on the 3rd gen billsteins using my original coil springs.

Just got the first box of several for my weekend project. Decided to go with the Bilstein kit from @HeadStrong Off-Road and substituted 5160’s with the rear reservoir instead. Looks like I got my work cut out for me this weekend. Thank you Marie for all your help and insight.

Hi, wondering how the brake dive is affected running stock coils with 5100's? I would set them on the 3rd notch/1.1 setting. My truck is a 2018 TRD access cab. I have ran OME in the past and did not like the endless clunking from them up from and also ran Fox 2.0 which were really nice but might not be in my budget now. Thanks for any feedback about the brake dive with 5100's vs the stock setup.

My tires are 265/65/17. I have measured all four corners and I have 21.75” from middle of wheel to bottom of the fender everywhere except LF I have 21.5” so I assume that means I have .25” taco lean.. Ive read and read and I’m now considering the 5100 kit with OME coils in front and 5100s in rear w a Deaver AAL. I’ve read so much I’m now considering 6112s in front and 5160s w reservoir for the rear. Will I need anything as far as AALs with the ladder consideration? I’m trying to get 2.5-2.75” lift with minimal rake. I will rarely ever go off pavement but will from time to time drive through field off road and I work at railroad repair plant so I do drive on some semi rough terrain daily at my job. I would like a stiffer drive bc I’ve noticed when hitting small dips and bumps on pavement my front end seems to hop every now and then. My truck only has 3,500 miles on it so all my stock components should be in good shape id think. Any advice and/or experience with either of these setups would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Chris

Chris, Chris here... I have the same minus the hood scoop that looks cool but does absolutely nothing. As for your setup, take a look at what I have done, all parts are from @HeadStrong Off-Road. I did the 5100's in the front with OME 887 coils all setup by Headstrong with the 1/4" spacer on the drivers side. In the rear, I installed 6150's along with Headstrong 3-AAL. I have 265/75/r17 BFG KO2's and from floor to center of fender I am at 37.75"

Great looking setup and truck! Sorry but I’m not familiar with 6150s but gonna check them out! I think the 5100s with 888 OME coils would get me an extra .25” in front end so that’s why I’m conaidering them instead of the 887s now! Thanks for sharing! How is the ride quality vs stock?

I always hated the ride quality of Stock as it felt like I was hitting every bump but the ride quality now is way better but still drives like a truck not a Denali.
