Since 60% isn’t good enough for you, and since it hardly rains in NM just live with it. If you know your getting a heavy rain, try and cover it up before hand or park in a garage or something

Either way I’m ready for a leak as my third brake light leaked and Toyota replaced with no questions asked. If anything I’m going to inspect my seals after every wash and put 303 protectant on the gasket to reduce it from wearing out in the sun.

Is that how we measure it?? Gasket/seal will fail. They don’t last forever. Expect it to leak down the road.

Don't think so.Maybe when they are 20 years old and the seal is dry,but not on a 2 year old truck.

My Golfs are made to or not be an issue when it does a little. That way it's not a problem...Toyota engineers blow!

Yes this is defiantly an accurate indicator of Toyota Motor Corporation and the quality of their products as a whole...

Pics would be nice to see. As you describe the "gap" in the weather stripping, I'm thinking some Silicone placed in a very strategic position then let dry completely and you might fix the issue...!!

    Good Luck my friend..:canada:

OP do you never wash your truck? It's out of warranty, be glad you got a discount or fix it yourself. Toyota owes you nothing past 3/36k. Next time go to a car wash once in awhile.

Don't understand why people want a hole in a perfectly good roof. Sunroofs/Moonroofs and Skylights in buildings are both leaks waiting to happen.

That's what I was told. All sunroofs are designed to take in water, and have a drain tube for the water to drain.

As far as the Tacoma goes, it's a truck. Trucks don't need a sunroof, my opinion.

Drains were most likely plugged. Almost no one ever cleans seals/tracks, and drains. Should be done a couple times a year. Most of all in dry dusty area's.

But Toyota recognized the issue of sunroofs always leaking...... They thought they got ahead of the issue by installing four (4) drain hoses....1 in each corner....

Their failure was not using a good seal.......

I had to get one as it was part of a Pkg. That is a "sleezy" way of selling more crap..!
