@1MK Thanks for sharing this, looks absolutely killer. Question for you in regard to Coyote Flats. How do you think a Subaru Outback running AT tires and full skids would do exploring CFs?

Great thread, interesting writing and nice photography too! Really like the eastern part of that mountain range, so beautiful! Heading out there over Labor Day for a project, can’t wait to visit again and fall colors should be returning to the aspens soon too!

I’ve only been to one of the Sierras, how many are there? Sorry- the geographer in me cringes when people call it the “Sierras”! ;)

One Sierra. Two sides but most people either refer to the area as the Sierra or the Eastern Sierra.

neat info - but the gear doesn't matter - you obviously have an artist's eye and excellent taste and ability in post. Great great work.

I've been doing photography since 3rd grade. Roughly 38 years ago. It isn't the gear used (it doesn't hurt) but the repetition and analyzing photographs which develop the eye for good composition. A few introductory courses is also crucial IMHO.

....and skill in post. Many good photos die because people cannot bring out the best in what they captures.

We have a thing in my photo groups - nobody ever says to a chef “great dinner! Your pots and pans must be amazing!”
