I’m Looking to see which pairing would be best for my application. I have an 07 DCSB 4x4 & I’m looking at either doing the 90021/885 combo or the 5100/885 combo. I don’t carry any weight in the front or back. 95% of my driving is on pavement with the exception of a gravel/dirt road once every couple of weeks. However, after lifting, I may wheel just a little bit more, nothing crazy though.

Anyways, I’m looking for something that’ll be road worthy and comfortable throughout the week, and comfortable off road when I do go. And I’m looking to get around 2”-2.5” and run 265/75r16. Wanting to avoid UCA’s (college :() and I’m not going with a new, full leaf pack in the rear. I’ll probably do 5100’s in the rear with an AAL.

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

That’s a proven setup An will ride great, you can’t go wrong either way shock wise might as well do 5100s all the way around an save a few bucks. You’ll be 2.5 up front an depending on which aal you go with 1.5-2 in the rear. I had icon aal previously to my dakars. It rode great better than stock an took bumps like a champ. Only reason for dakars I wanted more height.

That’s most likely what I’ll do. Ive seen people say that the OME’s have an internal metal bump stop. That clunk would drive me insane. I guess we’ll just have to see about any upcoming 4th of July sales :D. Does anybody know of any sales that will be going?

Are the Nitrocharger Sport’s worth the extra $$?

I have the soft riding ones I love them they are way beefier than 5100s.

90021 came with the coils I traded coilovers for them since I added all the weight to the front. You can’t go wrong with either depends if you want a softer ride or more firm.

Are yours soft and bouncy? I don’t much care for how bouncy the factory bilstein’s are, and I hear that the 5100’s are slightly stiff. Don’t want to rock the whole truck when hitting a bump or pothole

No not bouncy at all the are still a little stiff but very forgiving on pot holes an washboard roads no nose dive during hard breaking or cornering

Just bought 90021s with 885 springs and the regular Dakar leaf pack, cannot wait to get it and installed. The SR5 suspension is so much garbage

I recently picked up a 90021 sport front and rear set up and will be taking them apart for preventative maintenance. Any helpful tips or knowledge to be dropped? It’s my first time, so anything I should know ahead of time is appreciated!

I’ll be replacing the and reseating the springs (they’re crooked), as well as touching up the paint.

Hey everyone, I just managed to get my front end done this evening by myself after a couple hickups
    3rd gen 5100
    887
1/2" top spacer on driver side
    1/4" on passanger
    Spc uca's
I know itll take time to settle, but as of right now how do my angles look? Pretty bad eh. How do i correct this? After it settles and an alignment? Dakars go on tomorrow
2nd question. It sits real high right now, the only thing i waited to torque once the wheels were on the ground and bounced some was the lower alignment cams on the lca. Is that correct?20180620_220840.jpg 20180620_220748.jpg
