I think the internet is about to explode with misunderstanding today between this topic and the TC lca topic lol. I don't want torx head bolts - I'd like some M12x1.25 replacements with hex heads and that's what I'm trying to find.

I've got two of those connectors I am not using.

    McMaster-Carr is a good source.

Honestly I’ve never had an issue with Home Depot bolts. Most of their Metric bolts are grade 8.8

Whenever I lose a bolt, I just go to Home Depot for a replacement. Never given me an issue.

Apparently your HD is more import friendly than mine. Here they have like 4 bolts per drawer - each a single survivor from a two pack lol

No kidding. My HD has tons of Metric hardware always in stock, never had an issue finding a bolt whether it’s small as M3 or big as M12.

    Try Lowe’s.

I'm just going to have to start my own online bolt business I guess lol - I've found an untapped market. Pun intended lol

I remember those days. Everyone kept telling me, save the money - blow it on a killer vacation instead. Yeah, like that was going to happen. :help:

Seriously though, hang tough. You'll get the truck where you want it one day... or not.

If it weren't for getting all the wedding gifts to fill the kitchen and house (11 months from now we will hopefully be moving into a house) I think the old lady would be in. She has a good bit saved up and we will be doing this on a pretty low budget. It's all to please her, I've suggested eloping a lot.

I have yet to get my bumper to the powder coater :facepalm:I hate how much I work sometimes, money is good but leaves no hours to work on the truck. So far this week I'm already at 50ish hours.

Oh it'll never be done. Just want to have slider and new wheel bearings before I go down bashing it off the rocks. I'll always be tinkering with it in one way or another. I got my other car that I want to get fixed as well. Too many projects lol. Putting them off now will pay off later I hope. By pay off I am talking about a nice big garage/shop to call my own, working out of the parents garage keeps me very limited on what I can do.

I've slowly becoming convinced there's no benefit of having any deadlines (even small ones) with project vehicles. I feel like it's the next level of enlightenment for diy'ers lol

Exactly why my 01 Cobra has sat under a cover for 6 months with no plan to get it looked at lol. 1. I don't have the funds to pay a mechanic. 2. I don't really care to rush it as it's only given me issues since I bought it (I didn't realize the motor was replaced when I bought it so it explains all the issues I've had with it)

True, although I love carpentry. Just helped my parents redo our whole 1st floor.

To keep this thread on topic: Does anyone know of an aftermarket rear bumper that will allow you to use the factory hitch? I ask out of curiosity as I have not come across one in the limited searching.

    no.

Most have a built in reciever anyways. The stock one gets sandwiched with the stock bumper and no aftermarket one does that. I think there was one at one point..might have been an early ass allpro one.

lol I think it was always on topic:

    Q. What have you done to your Tacoma today?

    A. Nothing, but talked about doing nothing to it, so that's something...

Okay that is what I thought. I tow relatively often and no aftermarket company ever gives a tow rating for obvious reasons. Thank you for info.
