Search came up empty. Can anyone recommend a good alignment shop in the San Fernando Valley?

I've always gone to Sears & never had a problem, basically no rubbing with 285s on a 1st gen. But I'm afraid Sears might not be around much longer & would like to find a new place.

What's up with Firestone & their lifetime alignment? Do they suck & will they deny the liftetime alignment if I'm lifted? I know that's their policy but do they enforce it?

    Thanks

Thanks. Ok, I'll give them a shot if they allow me to get the lifetime alignment.

Good to know since I live close to Studio City. I had the Firestone lifetime alignment on my lifted Tundra and it was hit or miss. I guess I'll give them a shot with my Taco.

Most Firestones only align vehicles to factory specs which isn't what our lifted trucks need...I've heard some locations have a tech that is good at custom alignments but it's hit or miss depending on the location. I have the lifetime package and I use it frequently, but it's not always a great alignment. If you're looking for something on point I'd look into an independent alignment specialty shop that can do a solid custom alignment for you

Thanks. Yeah I was hoping to find an independent shop that is good with lifted trucks. At this point I think I'll just go to Sears again. Surprisingly they've always done a good job & actually listen to me when I ask them specifically to adjust caster.

If you bring the numbers you want, they will make it happen, at least as close as you want them.

I ended up going to Sears again. They have a 1yr plan for an extra $25 where you can get unlimited alignments with that year. Firestone lifetime plan allows 1 per every 6000mi or 6months.

Now that I won't have anymore major changes, once my 1yr Sears plan is up, I'll get the Firestone lifetime plan when it's on sale or have a coupon, that is if they don't hassle me for not being stock.

Weird...I have the Firestone lifetime plan and I went in every 4-6 weeks for awhile. They never charged me or said anything about limitations.

I'm just going by what their policy says online. It also says may not be valid for modified suspension either. Like with all chains it really depends on the particular location. I've heard a lot of crap about Firestones around here so still deciding if i should even bother with them.

Need to change out some more bushings so I'll go back to Sears in a few weeks & after my new COs settle in if anymore.
