Anyone have any clever ideas for something to shade my pool equipment from getting the shit kicked out of it by the afternoon sun?

Make a pvc box and use cool shade as the walls to keep the sun off it but still be ventilated.

I got it from Costco, I don’t see it on there site anymore but doesn’t mean it’s not in the store, I think it’s $250. I left a brick in the left corner so the sun would warp it a little bit, enough to vent any heat the pump may create.

I did that for about 2 years, except I had a roll of bamboo that I wrapped it with, and just did it over the top and sides as the front never saw sun.

Yah, for me though it was this ones depth that let me get a Hayward 48 de filter to fit and still have room was it’s big selling point for me, I also liked that he lid folded up with hydraulic lifts so that I could remove the top of the filter for cleaning, gives me a ton of room.

Also when it’s time to upgrade your equipment get a variable speed pump, it’ll save you on your electricity by a good 30-40 rough estimate, pool will stay cleaner, has an srp/aps rebate, I went Hayward and love it same with the filter.

Thanks for all the suggestions so fast guys! If I decide to build my own I'm sure I will have more questions.

hmmm... This sounds way better and more technical.. idk if my truck is equipped for this type of trip and abuse tho..

the 416 fire right? its slowed down due to some recent rain, and they re-opened San Juan to the public today actually. Still a stage 2 restriction, but thats fine. We are just driving through from Silverton to Durango via paved roads so it shouldnt affect us. appreciate the lookin out tho man!

Iam sure that will add another rule to the already redundant rule book. I bet 4 rules where broken in the process of creating that Carnage.
