Ended the day telling a tile guy to stop work and leave. Told him his work looked like shit, he said it would look better with grout, grout that’s darker than tile makes the flaws jump.

 

How did he take it?

 

He’s upset, but I’m more upset, I have to fix it. I have a meeting with the client and the architect tomorrow. I grouted a 2’ square before leaving, it confirmed what I thought. Inconsistent grout joints, tile set at different depths (not leveling out), inconsistent cuts at windows and niches ~ amateur af.
