I'm very happy that you liked it, I really did put some effort into this and I'm glad you guys are finding it to be as good as I think it is.
You're right about the trimming too, if you have a thin enough wrench you can get away with not trimming the tabs.

Yup. For those that are planning to install, here’s what I bought on Amazon which made it a breeze. I didn’t have a 1/4 wrench somehow, and I figured I’d just buy the #10 drill bit instead of trying to make something close to it work.

Century Drill and Tool 11410 Wire Gauge Drill Bit No. 10 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004UU8M0G?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

you're welcome, I appreciate the support and the risk you guys take when you order a product that doesn't have a huge multimillion dollar company behind it.

I appreciate the fact we have so many capable people that can do these custom mods like you and @mesojdm.

Question, has anybody found or use a magnetic piece for these ramballs? I can't seem to find one without maybe doing some custom work myself.

I'm also looking into making a hard wire setup so I don't have this charging wire all over the place. I've see others do it, but not sure where to start yet with that idea.

Installed last night. WOW. Rock solid and looks looks like a factory piece. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping it would be! THANK YOU!

*EDIT: For those of you who don't have a #10 bit, a standard 3/16 bit worked perfectly for me!

Close! But that is an actual base, which i may have to end up using.

I was hoping for something like this with a ball instead of the vent clip:
    https://www.amazon.com/WizGear-Universal-Swift-Snap-Technology-Smartphones/dp/B00PGJWYJ0

I used that for years in another car and liked it, I just don't want to cover the vent in the truck.

If you put the ball end of that into one of the RAM arms, then the magnet will face you, so you can just stick your phone to it. At least that's how other guys here are using it. There's one with a smaller diameter too I think so it's not so large

Looks to me like that base has a magnet attached to it...

Extra hardware will be through me, most of the places I found sell bulk only or individual bolts or bushings at a much higher price than I would like. My DMM requires those two in order to properly mount the ram ball so I decided I was going to take on the responsibility of making those items available to you guys for as little $$$ as possible, if you order from me they will be $1.50 each extra set (bolt and bushing), plus shipping which depending on how fast you need it can be as low as $1 or free if you order them together with the mount.
In case anyone wants to look for themselves this is exactly what the bolt and bushing are:
    BOLT:
    10-32 x 1-3/4" Socket head cap screw
    BUSHING
    5/16" O.D. #10 (.192") I.D. x 1.00" long aluminum spacer

Sweet! Right now I have a piece of rubber there to keep my sunglasses from sliding around but this is better.
