They get great snow reviews around here, and we get shitty winters...... :curls:

A little noisy on the road but seem pretty good so far.

Working at a discount tire I have seen that BF Goodrich/ Michelin tires, especially KO2's, are really hit and miss on quality. No surprise considering Michelin owns both companies. I'm sure they USED to be the best brand around, but in my opinion they are not anymore. BFG KO2's are always coming back with issues, especially vibrations. If I had to rate those 3 brands it would be

    1 - Cooper
    2 - Toyo
    3 - anything but BFG/Michelin

Cooper is the only brand I will run on a truck

I ran Toyo's on my old Jeep XJ they did okay offroad, but not anything write home about. The were good in snow, sand, rock if you don't spin them, and okay in rain and ice. Toyo's are lightweight in certain sizes, ie 265/75r16 is 44lbs in load C. Coopers last well, but the ST Maxx is pretty heavy. I am partial to BFG's, not a fanboy but i have had the best experience with them. Got 45,xxx miles out of Ko2's on my XJ, hard miles at that. If i were looking at that sort of size I would recommend the KO2 in 34x10.50r17. It is a little taller (measures 33.5" vs ~33") than the 255/80r17, but is 3 peak rated, load D, still skinny, and will last 45-50,xxx miles if cared for properly. They aren't cheap though.

Best tires I ever owned! (FYI the new gen's of BFG KM2 and KO2 suck balls!) I was die hard BFG fan for prob 15 years, old BFG AT's and MT's lasted forever and great on and off road. My last set of KM2's lasted all of maybe 20,000 miles and when it was raining, I may as well been driving on ice. My brother in law and a neighbor bought new KO2's within the last 2 months, same thing, slippin' and sliding all over. I took a chance on the Amp's after being recommended by local Tacoma and 4Runner peeps, best tire decision ever! No slipping and sliding, very, very min road noise.

Been running (255/75/17)ko's on the Jeep for 9 months and they have been great, especially in winter. Been rotating and wear has been even, and not premature. Just got a set of255/85/16s used(less than 2k miles) for the taco. Hopefully they perform and wear similarly
