A little of this and a little of that.
Greetings and salutations fellow taco fiends. Roughly nine months ago I sacked up and decided to dive headlong towards that claymore of black magic we all have sweet mixed (and in some cases confused) emotions towards, piece of Toyota engineering. But I digress, now, on too the matter at hand. My local dealership and service dept. *cough* Fred Anderson Toyota of Sanford, NC *cough* felt that the replacement of the driver side front wheel bearing hub assembly would amount to an approximate $1050 (parts & labor before tax). I laughed, I left, I haven’t returned. Now, is it just me or was that est. not only a joke, but an insult?

A little of this and a little of that.
Thank you all for the warm welcomes, glad to see TW has such a great support group for our addiction *sniffle* Finally a place I belong, I’m so happy. Seriously though, I do appreciate the “welcomes” so far.

I had never intended for a stealership to do repairs. I was mainly curious about repairs, cost, etc. However, it wasn’t completely out of the question due to my move to NC and still having the majority of my tools, equipment, etc. back in VA.

Now that I’ve aquired most of my crap down here, I can actually do the work myself. Just torn between buying a “pre-assembled” B/H assembly and rebuilding my OEM’s as spares or backups ICE or just rebuilding the OEM’s open-shut case style.

    Decisions, decisions......decisions.
