I’m putting my Yakima track bars on my topper before my prinsus get here and I don’t want to mess up cause I’m drilling holes. Is there anything I need to know or do that someone ran into? I could even be over thinking it because I have been taking lots of measurements.

Use lots of silicone to seal the wholes.
Make sure the hardware you have is long enough. The screws I was sent from Yakima were too short because I have a double thick roof.
I’d you can, use all the screws. The company who installed my tracks did every other and my rack lifts up a little.

Good advice I never thought about bolt length. I did see that there was a reinforced part in the roof. I will just pick some more up and trim them if I need. Thanks for the help.

I did a little more resource and found out something interesting. My shell has a thicker spot in the roof and the place I bought it from told me that it’s not actually solid inside. They called it the honeycomb I think. It’s like cardboard that they fiberglass over for added strength. They told me definitely don’t bolt through that. Kind of a good thing to know that the directions said nothing about. Thought maybe it could help someone else someday. I have an ARE FYI.
