So....yesterday I bought this Honda motor powered unit from Lowe's.

Took it outa the box today and added some non-ethanol fuel, filled her up with oil.....set everything up.

Wasn't pleased with the short hose, so I used my old hose....a bit longer and doesn't kink very much.

All was well until I tried to use it, lol.

My foam cannon wouldn't connect at all.

The supplied nozzles would connect, however there was too much pressure loss around the sides for any of them to be effective.

No matter what I tried I couldn't get the sleeve to slide forward all the way....with or without a nozzle attached.

I'll be contacting the manufacturer to see if they can get me a new quick connect nozzle....preferably one with the wand already attached.

In the meantime I want to get up and running.

A shorter wand may even be better for close quarters work in my narrow driveway.....especially with the foam cannon on the end, too.

Any recommendations for what's worked for you ???

The motor, pump and set up of the unit seemed to all work great.....just couldn't get what I should out of the end.

The wands are always like 3ft long. why??? lol.

Looks like the quick connect part isn't seated all the way, or isn't sealing properly. You're loosing a lot of your water pressure through that. I recently bought a Briggs&Stratton pressure washer for work, and it has worked flawlessly.

    I know, right.

It didn't hurt too bad....just filled up the 2 gallon yard can and hit with some Sta-Bil.

Funny that the puny $65 Wallyworld electric model worked flawlessly outa the box......yet this one didn't. GRRRRRRR.

All due to a crappy quick connect that someone could spot on an assembly line right away......if they only know what to look for. Quality assurance opportunity for sure.

I saw a Simpson brand wand that is much shorter and should work out well. I also need one of the extended wands to hit the second floor, gutters and etc.

Aggravating that I was hoping to have this thing in use today. :frusty:

Yup. The foam cannon has launched twice....luckily I had a finger around it to keep it from fouling up wife's Yota. She'd not have been happy with a big ole scratch on the hood. :bananadead:

That’s a good price for ethanol free.

It costs a lot more than regular unleaded.

My shorter wand came in this week.

Simpson...fittings are proper.....too bad the crappy Craftsman wasn't.

I do like the shorter wand when maneuvering in between the cars.....especially with the foam cannon attached.

    Worked great.

Replacement Simpson on the left......the supplied Craftsman on the right.

No doubt about it.....the new gas model with a 40 degree nozzle rocks compared to the weaker electric with the 25 degree nozzle. Ease of use was about even as this thing cranked on the first crank (choke engaged then closed immediately).

    I'm happy with it now.
