Well, since we're talking about fun to drive, but my Taco gets better gas mileage.

This was my LT4 modded LT1 6 speed baby that I had to give up when my feet made me handicapped. No more clutches for me dammit. There was 30% Corvette under that hood.

Did the "premium audio upgrade" and managed to put a screwdriver through one of the rear speakers like a complete idiot. In my defense though, I was a few beers in and the hardware provided sucks! I was able to repair the crack with some shoe goo. I guess I'll see how it holds up!

Hahaha glad I'm not the only one! We're you able to fix it? If so what did you do and how did it hold up?

mine was a small phillips head shaped hole, i hit it with a piece of hockey tape. same way i fix guitar/ bass speakers in a pinch.

I will agree, they are hard to install in the mounting ring. They pretty much dont fit, but you can make it work if you angle the screws

You aren't kidding. On the front speaker adapters, I was only able to get two of the screws in the proper place, then drilled the plastic adapter to allow for the other two screws. Very secure, but wasn't plug/play.

Good thing is, that's all done. Upgraded tweeters awhile back. Upgraded 4 door speakers today and got sound deadening material in all 4 doors. Much improved. The "premium audio upgrade" thread helped a ton. No pics needed. (Which doesn't mean I didn't take any...just not boring everyone.)
