ARB Roof Rack

    I used this same setup on my FJ when I had it (though obviously the FJ version). It's the ARB fit kit (~$165) which bolts to the factory rack mounts, then Yakima round bars attached with U bolts. Spread between the bars could be better- if it proves to be an issue I may just bolt on 6' of steel angle and drill new holes to mount the round bars.

    On the FJ I liked how low profile the rack was, but on the Taco it just seemed a little too close to the roof, so I fabbed some spacers from some 80/20 I had.

    Wind noise is way too much though, so I may be adding a deflector or just leaving the surfboard pads on if that helps- have to see.

    Nice! I had the ARB aluminum rack on my 5th gen 4Runner. Was thinking of doing similar on my Tacoma, Post pics once mounted!

    Not planning on adding a basket- just need the bars so I can carry my paddle board and kayaks.
