So I received my Pioneer AVH 2800 tonight and got the harness all soldered up and ready to go for mounting in the morning. After searching this and a bunch of other forums, I couldn't find any details on where to tie in the "magical" green wire for the parking brake for a 2nd Gen Taco.

Before everyone dumps on not doing some sort of bypass :)crapstorm:)...I just like doing things the way they're designed and intended to be done...that's just me.

So anyhow, I finally broke down and called Crutchfield and spoke with Lloyd who was very helpful. The wire you tap into is at the very top of the parking brake (up under the lower dash). There's a plug at the top with a single green/yellow wire...that's the one! Hopefully this helps someone who's searching for the same solution to wire up their new Christmas gift!

I'll try to snap a picture tomorrow when I get to mount the new unit.

    Cheers!
