Ya, for sure. I started a family that long ago. It never was practical, mostly financial. Every few years I would get the itch, research it, realize I couldn't afford the one I wanted and then would settle for a 2wd commuter gas miser sedan. Things have changed and it was the perfect storm and I figured now or never.

Get a good set of AT tires. The truck is very capable in stock form. Good tires will be one of your best investments.

Good relatively cheap mods for protection is where I'd start. Id go Ceramic coat on the paint (paint is pretty soft on theses.) Clear bra in the front and other high wear areas. WeatherTech or Husky floor liners. Bed mat. Seat covers Clazzio seams to be the go to if you want a classy look, wet okle or Carharts for a more rough and tumble life style. Salex OCD organizers are good for keeping things in order. Beyond that, the world is your oyster! Congrats on the new truck, enjoy!

Makes sense. I don’t have the family responsibility yet so I haven’t experienced that part in my life. Glad it worked out and I hope it’s everything you’ve expected!

Take your time if you’re planning on doing mods and figure out the weaknesses. These trucks aren’t bad stock, but they can definitely be improved depending on use.

The bed mat is a great investment for <$100 and keeps stuff from slidding around in the bed. Almost too much at times.

Congrats on the new rig! Wish my gen came in a cement color, looks badass!

I'd suggest debadging the truck as well as swapping out wheels and tires. Most peoples first mod for a reason as it transforms the look!

More tie downs (D rings) for the bed. Also a locking bed cover is a must for me.
