I don't really remember, but if you fill out the spec sheet on the web site, they will email you a quote. We got a lot of options, including the in floor storage. Cheap at first but adds up in a hurry!

This ^^^ I've been looking around and sending out quote requests to a few manufacturers the last couple of months. There are several teardrop manufacturers that are very affordable as a base model, but a fully rigged off-road version with all the options adds up very quickly!

I'm trying to figure out how to keep costs down by looking at what upgrades I can do in my garage and what I can wait to do once I get the trailer and the bank account has recovered.

We have been looking at Hiker Trailers for nearly a year, and the wait list has gone from 6 months to a solid year! Stumbled on a similar product from Escapade Campers in Dassel, MN. They also offer an All Terrain option with Timbrel axle-less suspension. We just ordered an Alpine for late August 2018 delivery!

I built my own but found getting in and out of a Roof Top Tent was a pain, so I found this No Boundaries line and am considering their smallest trailer...They are pretty cool...

They make nice rigs, but 17 months?!!!

And the used one in Denver looks to be in great shape but 13k is out of my league and Denver is waaaay to far away.

Found these guys a few hours drive from me and will probably end up going this route when the time is right.

We love our Hiker. Holding up great and perfect for 2 or 4 with an additional tent. I am not sleeping on the ground ever again.

Any advice on sizes. Leaning towards a 5 by 9 or 5 by 8 deluxe. Any used ones for sale before I get on hikers waiting list?

I found these online somewhere probably watching YouTube. They looks great I like the idea of a tear drop type camper. I have a pop up camper now but this could be a good fit for me since I often camp alone or with one or two friends. It's something for the future.

Another Escapod ordered here. 10 month wait. We looked at all the offroad, teardrop-style trailers and liked these overall. Not cheap, to say the least.

I've asked this in another thread, but maybe there is more action here: what are your thoughts/experience on pulling a trailer this size? I've spent quite a bit of time reviewing the site and "Towing" in particular, but the good info doesn't always relate directly to this style/size of trailer. Thoughts on/need for:
    1. trailer brakes?
    2. suspension mods?
    3. truck payload (how much stuff in bed/cab)?
    4. pulling mountain grades?

I'd very much appreciate insight on these topics, as I'm new here and new to the Tacoma.

    Thanks!

I need to add a brake module to my tacoma prior to towing but the hitch tongue weight is light so I am not sure I need to modify the suspension but am thinking about it. Trailer weighs like 2000 pounds loaded down so most vehicles with a v6 could tow it fine. What are you towing man? How much weight?

Btw I tow other trailers no problem without trailer brakes of similar size (5x9) and live near the Olympic mountains.

I have an Escapod on order. Basically same weight as yours. Thinking about a trailer brake option for the trailer build. Also considering heavier Alcan leaf springs, along with the Bilstein 6112/5160 kit from Shock Surplus (plus 1" on both ends), but wonder if any of this is really necessary.

I love my Hiker trailer. I have a 5x9 Offroad model. I was able to buy mine very lightly used so I didn't have to wait. I'm in the process of adding an ARB refrigerator and solar to it.
