    Not true at all. I had a 30 pack of beer sitting on the front seat. Just enough weight to make the chime go off. And I’ve had my phone sitting in the seat before and nothing happened. Don’t know where you heard that from.

    its weight sensitive, just dont know how much the minimum is ...I also never heard of static electricity triggered..

    The FRS is static. You can put a book bag in the front seat and it won't trigger. Put a cell phone (or any electronic) in the seat and it triggers it. It's really annoying.
