I say the same all the time about my Manual Transmission. It’s the only reason I bought a Tacoma over a 4Runner.

Hi all,

I just picked up my new 2018 TRD ORDC. Put around 200 miles on it today driving from the dealership, out to my dads to pickup some furniture and back home.

I just wanted to say that anyone that complains at all about the Tacoma transmission, or how it drives etc should never get a Wrangler. I traded in my 2016 Wrangler and i feel like I’m driving a 120k Range Rover on the highway with the new Tacoma. It feels like a luxury liner to me.

I was worried about the ride and transmission after reading all the complaints from consumers and “experts”, but man I cannot beleive how good this thing drives. I guess it just depends what you’re used to but my only advice is anyone complaining about a Tacoma do not get a Jeep Wrangler.

I loved my Jeep (before it started falling a part with just 23k miles on it) don’t get me wrong. They’re fun as hell to wheel and take to the beach. But taking my 2 door on the highway was an adventure in itself. Having power doors and locks and a roof that doesn’t leak as me feeling like a million bucks.

What highway did you leave it broke down on?! Some other poor Jeep owner may need some of the parts

If the 4Runner had a manual I would have gotten a 4Runner. Now I hear Tacoma won’t be offered with manual, so this may be my last truck. Just going to have to keep it alive forever.
