Looking for the cheapest site to get some Falken MTs. I currently have KOs load E that’s were given to me but idk if Tacoma’s need load E.

what load rating is best? I’m not really into rock crawling just off roading.

Go to your first post and in the upper right click "thread tools" then "edit.

Load E's are overkill on a Taco and will adversely affect MPG's.

Do reading on tire tech in general at TireRack.com

Several online shopping places. 'Best price' is relative to where you look on a given day for a given tire.

Don't forget you're going to have to pay shipping in most cases, then have dismounts/mounts/balancing done locally. You'll want to add that into your total cost.

Curious why you want MT tires?

My truck is my daily driver and I live on a ranch and do a good amount of off roading and towing.

My current KOs are load E, I don’t mind the ride. They are 285/70/17 With a 2.5in lift. My average MPG is 16-18 to a tank. I was thinking load E is over kill too due to how light tacoma are, I only have these tires because they were given to me. I was looking at getting load C or D that’s why I was getting some advice.

I want MTs for a more aggressive look and because where live. I was just looking to get the best price online and have them put on locally by a friend who has a shop.

I just bought tires from tire rack this past week. There on the truck now. They are fast and the best deal I could find. Free shipping and no tax. Sometimes you can find tires that have a rebate.

You can't give/get broad strokes answers that cover every tire.... ie....I have E rated STT PRO's. I do a lot of off roading. II can run low psi, not worry so much about damaging the tire...Run lower PSI than I did with C rated Duratracs ON road...and get a better ride. Stiffer tire stands up well with less psi...

Long story short, I'm happier with ride and durability of E rated 285/75r16 STT PRO's than I was with 265/75r16 C rated Duratracs. Gas mileage did drop with bigger and more aggressive tire, but not by huge number....Still get 18hwy, 15-1/2 to 16 city. (2011, DCSB, 4.0, auto, w/4.10 gear)

Some will say Tire Rack, but I'd suggest 4Wheel Parts.

Tire Rack is not remotely competitive on truck tires after shipping. It's like they're not even interested in the segment. I love Tire Rack, but when I saved over $200 buying the same tires from 4Wheel Parts it was a no brainer.
