I dig the plate frame! Did you have those made?

I've got a pair of the BTTF ones from when they gave them away back in 2015, but I'm convinced they would have been stolen the day I put them on the truck.

 

Silver is the only color I buy cars or trucks. Never looks dirty and stays cooler in the sun. White is such a common color for cars and trucks too in my opinion.

 

It’s actually a different silver compare to previous silver. It’s really cool because it’s deep metallic and at certain angles it takes on a cement look.

I read a few replies to this thread.. What is different about the clear coat on silver vs other colors?

 

Nothing different about the clear on our Silver. I did make a statement that Superwhite doesn't have a 2nd stage clear when someone was debating between the 2 colors. When looking at Toyota paints, if it doesn't mention Pearl or Metallic in the name, I don't believe it has a 2nd step clear coat. Silver Sky metallic does, pretty standard in most automotive paint.

The Superwhite on my wife's rav4 takes more work, no question. I could clay bar 4 times a year to keep it smooth.

 

Oh you're referring to single stage vs two stage paint jobs...Now I understand.
I wish our trucks had the same level of clear as GM vehicles.. I will give them that... Their paint is awesome.... quality wise I don't like being stranded so I will stick with my toyota.
