What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I'm doing my timing belt and water pump today.

I think maybe I jumped the gun, this belt looks pretty good still.

If you ever wanted to know what a belt would look like if it was left on for 180,xxx miles, well now you do.

 

Waste of money if you ask me, that thing looks new

Thats what the moab trip was for. Though now idk if they are doing that with the change in ownership at BFE..

I need to get mine done...only have 66k on my truck but it's the same belt that's been on there since 04. I've always figured I'd get around to it eventually but I think you just made it more of a priority for me, yikes.

 

According to my mechanic that's what mine looked like at 140k truck runs so much better now

 

For me it was 4 weeks. I would call them tomorrow and

 

x3! It really sucks because at meets usually all the 2nd gen guys get together and talk stuff. I join in but we never talk about the best gens. Every now and then I wheel with a fellow 1st genner tho

 

Try wheeling with Dodge 1500's and Ford f150's and tell me that it's fun............it's not it is so NOT FUN.

Depends on how busy they are. Normally they should but it is that season where people go "truck parts buying bananza"

Not if your the only one with a winch and get stuck being winch bitch. Though I do make money off them but still after the 4th time I winch them out I either leave them or go home.

But it is funny to watch them get stuck between 2 trees lol bye bye door mirrors.

hahaha As I am going into my third set ive learned, that off the shelf springs suck, custom is the best way to go, Also that All Pro suck!

 

oooooooh....I'm interested. I've done Gold and White Mountain up there several times but never John Bull, was always told that was a front-locker-required kind of trail. I'm down to try it out though. I'll throw my transmission skid on for that one lol. Been sitting in my backyard for months.
