I love stock low Range on fire roads. Gotta keep that IMO.

The SAS 8runner guy in Texas has single case with 4.7 gears. Beast on the trail but slow as hell on the access roads

Agree on the leaks though. That’s been scaring me off

2WD high, rear diff locked is the only way I drove on fire roads. But I agree. I just don't want to deal with leaks and I certainly don't want to buy an atlas.

Haven’t had a ton of dirt time with my new truck, but it’s way different than a taco offroad. There’s no easy way to disable abs on my truck and it’s super sketch going fast with it on. So I’ve just been cruising until I figure something out haha.

Its not a huge deal haha, I’m not really looking to hit whoops at 60 in this truck. Shit. I’m getting old. But it’s really nice having a truck that doesn’t feel like it’s going to rattle apart Offroad anymore hahaha

How do all those Tundra guys like Stefen and crew handle it? See vids of them flying thru the desert all the time.

Honestly have no clue lol. I just don’t feel like it’s wise with abs so that keeps me in line. Guess they have bigger balls then me

Just got an email about the fire restrictions in Payson where my cabin is. Can't do a god damn thing up there right now.

If you are a resident or property owner in Rim Country, fire restrictions and forest closures apply to you as well as to forest visitors. It is important to understand that fire restrictions and/or forest closures are implemented for your safety as well. If you live in a forest closure area or own property in a forest closure area, pleaseTAKE HEED:

You may ONLY drive directly to and from your home or property in the closure area. You are prohibited from virtually doing anything else due to the extreme fire danger. You may not drive any vehicle from your home or property to a friend or neighbor’s home for any reason. You are prohibited from walking, riding a bike, a horse, or a quad, etc. anywhere in the closure area. You are prohibited from pursuing other destinations within the closure area.

Since going into Stage II fire restrictions on April 16, we have beefed up our Forest Service presence with patrol units, engines, and fire crews from other national forests across the nation. We will not hesitate to issue citations (that will require a mandatory court appearance) to forest closure and fire restrictions violators.
