Glad I could help! I'll take some measurements when we get home (driving through Nevada now). Hopefully that'll help some folks. I would caution that there is approximately 1.5-2" of space between the composite underside of the tent structure and the metal rails of the Prinsu, so in extreme flex situations they may contact.

I was considering shaving the section under the overhand down on the sides of the prinsu as well as removing the bars as an option. I’m eager to see what’s others will do with that space. Is it usable? Maybe maxtraxs?

Thanks! Any feedback on the ride comfort? Want to avoid the "lifted=stiffer ride"

I know, I could. But I've committed already. Going to sell the current rig and have a 2018 on order. Cement ORLB fully loaded. Pretty excited. Wondering how a gray GFC will look on a Cement truck. Hoping someone else is the guinea pig before me.

That's actually my plan! I was going to see if I could slide two maxtrax in there, but may just mount them forward instead and fit all 4.

Right on man. You're going to have a sweet setup between the new rig and the GFC.

I just looked up the price on that outfit - ouch. I may live with my 'gushy' suspension for a while longer... 3K hurts.

Agreed. The mattress is way better than the one in my ARB RTT. That one was way too firm, especially since I tend to sleep on my side.

Thank you sir! Yes, pretty excited! Thinking about trying to get a fridge in the buildout in the back. A good friend has one of these in his Sprinter buildout: www.truckfridge.com He's an engineer and got super excited about the compressors that these run; DC and very low draw. Almost silent too! But will need a dual battery set up...

So, major things on my build plan (not that anyone was asking :) ):
    TruckFridge
Dual battery set up, probably www.**************/collections/dual-battery-systems
roadshower.com mounted to the front extrusion somehow
two bike racks mounted to the side extrusions somehow...have some ideas for this but not 100%
removable ladder mounted to the rear extrusion that goes down to the bumper so we can have easy access without removing the floor
Custom drawer buildout in the back for storage etc. (hoping to integrate the "couch mode" with the cushions somehow)
Some sort of lift, and want 275 tires. Not sure what to do there, wished Duratrac's existed but they don't in that size, and not thrilled about the BFG KO2's being E load range in that size. Might end up with 285 duratrac's in D range (which I what I have on my 2nd gen currently), but again will need to clear a 7' door. --> If I'm calculating everything right Toyota lists the height as 70.6" and Graeme has told me the GFC is 6"?? above the fin (was it 6" or 7"??) . If 7" thats 77.6" if the springs didn't sag...which they do:

so...77.6 goes to 76.6. Call it 77" and my 7' door measures ~83.5" which let's call 83.0" so I've got 6" to play with being conservative on all of those measurements to add lift and tires :)

Nice man. GFC is planning on releasing a ladder/mount this summer so that'll save you some legwork. I'm running a hitch rack for my bikes and planning on getting a wilco hitchswing to get it out of the way. Rockymounts also makes a swing out hitch rack now that would save you some work and lower your height some.

oh wow! My bedsides must've been more squished from my olde shell because it really didnt seem like it would fit over the Prinsu, lol.

How much space is between the prinsu and the bottom of the GFC?

Nice. I'll look forward to seeing the ladder! My buddy who also ordered a GFC just got the Yakima hitch rack that swings out which he is going to use on his DCSB. Looks like a really nice set up for the price. I've done the bikes on the back before, and yes, that would be easier, but it always bothers me with how dirty they get off road being back there. And my DCLB will be a trail limo already, so wondering if I can come up with another solution. I know they won't fit on the sides as I'm envisioning under a 7' door, but that doesn't bother me.

I gotcha. Could try to see if anyone is getting rid of the KBVoodoo outboard mounts, unfortunately he stopped making them. May be able to make them work since they are fairly slim profile and may not mess with the bulb seal much.

I made something similar that I used with my leer fiberglass shell. For the GFC the problem with that would probably be two fold; clearance of the handlebars over the GFC, and then how can you open the GFC? and you also wouldn't be able to open the sides of the GFC as the bike would be fixed to the side.

If I end up going this route versus the hitch mount rack I want to have a rack that bolts to the upper extrusion so the handle bars will clear over the top of the GFC, then when open, the bike moves with the GFC (since attached to the upper extrusion) and then the side door can open as the bike and rack is now above that...if that makes sense.

No that makes sense. I hadn't thought about the sides if you didn't remove the bikes or the handlebar problem. Sounds like you've got it figured out though!

Now that several accessories are planned or are already available, I was wondering if any more consideration has been given to a lock for the top. I can lock my tailgate, and the aluminum sides can be locked, but all of these can easily be bypassed by just opening the tent and crawling in. My travel typically involves a day or two in a tent, then a day or two at a hotel, then repeat. Sometimes we also leave the truck parked while only taking the bikes on a ferry for a night on an island. Being able to lock up the gear in the back is necessary. Seems like it would be simple enough to create a hasp for the t-channels or something similar. Any plans for this?
