What makes you think they’re low?

Because everyone wants to hunt big game especially top predators. And especially around farms and live stock where farmers just kill anything.
I personally only like to hunt small game because there population numbers are to high due to the lose of top predators.
I understand in some areas that predator numbers are to high and need to be kept in check but in some areas the numbers just arnt there but still hugh enough to keep then out the endangered category so we shouldn’t allow hunting of them

And i dont mimd the use of dogs for hunting just not hunting bear because they just use them to chase them up trees and then shoot them.

When you need to put your Ford F-150 door somewhere and you happen to have a Honda Civic you don’t use sitting in the driveway.

 

The people around here kill around 60 lions a year in the 3 units around town. They do this year after year and some how they keep coming back.

I think you’re comparing the population by what people see. Odds are youre not just gonna be able to drive around and see predators like you see stuff like deer and elk.

Low population can also be caused by lack of hunt, which leads to over population, which leads to starvation and disease, and then a low population.

You’re right about some populations being lower in certain places, but that’s the same with everything. Certain places can only provide for a number of animals.

And I think you can’t really have an opinion on hunting with dogs until you’ve done it. It takes a lot more work, time and money than you’d think.

 

I have no problem woth guys that hunt with dogs, just don’t like it when you see guys use dogs to chase the animal up trees and shoot them that way. I think dog hunting is only legal in like 12 states now

Ive never hunted with dogs so idk. I dont oppse it, its just not for me.
But i need to get some hunting in soon its been awhile sense last time i went

 

We have bears out run us a couple times a year, they’re tough. Same with the lions, they can get through places like rock ledges the dogs can’t get through.

I can’t tell you how many miles I’ve walked/ ran or how many mountains I’ve been to the top of trying to help em.
Just cause the dogs are out doesn’t mean it’s a done deal. Ever.

As i said dog hunting isnt for me.
i dont care for it but i still respect the guys that do it. Im not arguing against it
