Yep I am that type of guy who wants to do something different

Instead of dropping the 100 on the kickers I have no problem fabbing up some mounts for alternatives. I have my 3d printer ready to go just seeing what other options people have used that may or may not fit. I have always been a fan of smoother tweeters but I am open to suggestions.

    Thanks all

Good question. It's only one of the bestest toy stores around. If there were one place I'd wanna win a shopping spree...

I ran Rockford Fosgate RT1-S tweeters prior to the Kickers. They have a wider frequency range, all the way down to around 2.5khz vs 4khz for the Kickers. You could put them into the truck for around $65-70 (harness and adapters included). The wider range is noticeable, vocals get a noticeable boost over the Kickers. They're also on a pivot base, that helps bring them closer to being on axis.

I'm using the same Rockford tweeter and I agree, they open the front soundstage up quite a bit and they match well with the power from the stock headunit.
