Group trip starting in the middle of New Hampshire south east of the White Mountains and ending up in Township __________ Maine.

Route will be developed and pre-ran by myself and any who accompany. This will most likely be a long weekend event, with a minimum of 4 days. Expressed interest in a longer trip can certainly extend it longer and personally would be favourable to me.

The amount of trail riding is TBD.
    *Regardless*
-Parts of the trip will be on shale covered roads for extended periods of time. Be mindful of tires.
    - Plan for sections to be flooded, but passable.
    - Ham license is preferred. Will be the primary form of comms. 35 question test, $15 fee that covers 10 years, $30 HT radio and (optional) mag antena $35. The will be zero cell coverage for 3/4ths of this routes. Walkies and CB will be accommodated as needed. But seriously just download the app, play multiple guess for a few weeks and take an hour on a Saturday to get the license.

All other travel related details are standard travel sense or will be discussed in later posts.

Post 2 will have updates on trip details / Recap.

Post 3 will list those who commit.
No "interested" folks. Just trying to keep an accurate head count. No problem to wait until you're sure

    Dates
Potential dates range from late summer, fall, to next June. Given the length of the trip and summer vacations being accounted for kind of forces the timeline. Will be discussed and updated here. Also, these roads degrade, become gated, or just aren't where maps show. As mentioned before the route will be pre-ran to ensure a smooth trip. That will take time. Please be patient.

So that being said, who wants to prove that we can indeed get there from here?

    First pre-run: June 29- July 6

As the details devolpe it'll be up to the driver to decide if it's within their ability. At minimum you will need All terrain or mud terrain tires and a full size spare. All are welcome though. An update should be coming later this month

    Update.

Looks like start might be from Erro,NH to the trains past Maine and down through the lower Allagash ready. NH has been planned and the train side. A few more trips to get the southern Allagash side

401 402 for the national geographic maps if anyone has any input

We might do a smaller trip. I'll let you and a few others know about that one. But this will be the big one next spring it looks due to how long it'll take

Good news. Just added 17 more miles of dirt road to the trip. We are almost at 50-50 from Errol to the trains at Eagle lake.

I know I've kept everything in the dark for awhile but this is a rough look at what part of the states we will be in. Need to get in touch with a couple game wardens to verify access. Hopefully running the NH to ME route in the up coming weeks
