Yeah my order number are not the same as the build # that was given to me. I dropped Graeme an email, hopefully will hear back soon.

Interesting, since the GFC dimensions are the same for all the 6' bed Tacomas, regardless of generation. That shouldn't relegate you to a "first gen" batch.

Thanks! I can definitely help here. Ross helped me out by putting both a black and a silver panel up on the truck to compare. At first, I really liked the matte black, but having the silver on the truck, it's definitely the way to go for me. It doesn't absorb as much heat and offers a bit of contrast to the rest of the satin black powder coated parts on the truck. It also marches the trd bed decals pretty well, which I think is kinda neat. Here's a few pics (unedited) that show the color pretty well:

I’m eager to see a cement taco with one. Want to see the difference between black and silver on cement.

That's a neat little tidbit. The glass comes from a WA company that specialized in RV glass including ones that operate.

Here's to an opening front window option down the road!

Looks awesome! I have an MGM as well and I believe you have sold me on the silver color. I really like it, I love the orange tubing as well but I may go with the gray since it looks similar to MGM. I am still undecided on tubing color but that orange is sweet. My MGM also has the silver pinstripe and I think that will make it pop really well.

Whats the clearance between the gfc and prinsu? When we were about to install the gfc on my truck, it was SUPER CLOSE. I ended up taking it off and sawing off the portion under the gfc. The bed flexing when wheeling and even at speed worries me damaging the gfc or the prinsu/roof of the tacoma.

No, don't think that's the issue, just think they're prioritizing based on delivery, or other schedules, and they don't have any others coming down here. Not sure on the pickups though, as it seems some of those have been all over the place.

I was prepared to pick it up on the 16th, but it wasn't quite complete then, whereas it sounded like delivery would be this week. Then called on Monday and was told my camper is done as of minus some cushions that needed to be sewed up, and it would be next week. :notsure:

But anyways, hopefully we can all get some real shots of one of these on a 1st gen next week.

Nothing wrong with stock-ish... Tacoma is pretty much GTG for most things right off the floor. I did suspension/ rims and tires on mine simply because with a 200lb Decked Drawer System and a 250lb GFC, plus camping equipment i just didn’t think the Tacoma had enough ass to support it.

Certainly could do, Sumo’s, Timbrens, or Bags instead of you wanted to stay lower. For me I like it up higher, and my garage has 12ft doors so height isn’t a concern. I know a lot of folks on here are trying to stay low to access parking/ garages.

Finally a real truck . Already emailed Graeme about some pics! Since mounting is a bit more sophisticated. Excited to see the finished look on them. I really was wishing I was the first of the ZR2’s but I doubt anyone in Michigan will have one this early anyways.

Grabbed some pics for ya. Looks like the front edge is about 7/8" from the Prinsu and the rear is a bit over 1 1/8". I'll be trimming the rack down by about an inch (will post picks of that as well). How this helps!

Not a bad idea! I think as it sits it's fine for highway driving, but over some challenging terrain, maybe not so much.

Love how people have gotten the GFC, but still haven't updated their profiles or sigs to reflex it. Must be having too much fun with their new toy :bananadance:

Still sold on this color combo. I really dig it.
