Yes, I agree. I am not for that either. but the diference is they are "legal citizens" and have a legal right to be in this country. If it is OK for her to come in the country illegaly, then we should let anyone and everyone in that wants in, right? Just open the borders and make it a free for all.

I guess that since she is going to school, the laws don't apply to her.

Laws are bent or broken every day. Besides...customs and immigration just delayed her hearing for a year...she will be deported. Her punishment is coming.

I'm not saying that every illegal immigrant deserves public services...I'm just saying it's pointless to make an example of this girl...not worth it...unless you truly have hate in you for this person who you don't know.

 

Getting rid of her won't fix this country's fiscal deficit problems. Our taxes are high because we are bailing out companies that don't deserve to be bailed out and because we have government officials who believe they can keep spending irresponsibly without suffering any consequences.

 

Not sure how many illegals you have in GA, but I am pretty sure not nearly as many as we do here in AZ. If illegals and criminals are so welcome there, then by all means take them. I am sure they are going to be looking for somewhere to relocate to now that they have worn out there welcome here.

 

Are you kidding me? If it was that easy don't you think they would all just apply? It's easier said than done. The biggest problem with that is that first of all the process takes sooo long (i've heard up to 15 years). And you can't just apply for residency, you have to get petitioned or qualify under some other factor).

This is the exact same reason as to they none of these illegals have applied because the immigration process to apply is flawed, not as easy as just applying for it.

And because the process takes so long, they come here "illegally." If they are fleeing their country to escape drugs, corruption, war violence, etc. for a better life, many of them can't afford to wait that long (considering they are even eligible to apply).

Now, this is not the same for every immigrant. The holding times vary depending on what country the immigrant is coming from.

In her case, what was she supposed to do? She was brought here by her parents without a choice. Is she to go back to Mexico, a country which she doesn't even know?

This is why I believe the US needs to reform the immigration process so that there is a faster way to grant them legal status so long as they have something positive to contribute to this country.

 

If she aint here legally then get her ass out of here no questions asked!!

 

That's exactly what she's supposed to do. And since she's illegal, it's pretty safe to assume her parents are too. So guess what? It could be a family affair! Send em all back. My tax dollars are used enough to take care of Americans who are legal, I don't need to support people who are here illegally, too. The laws are simple; if you're not legal, you go back to wherever you came from. No exceptions. She's goin to school....congrats. That doesn't make her special.

Immigration Reform = Amnesty. No thanks. We have laws, they just need to be enforced.

Why don't you ask my friends who immigrated here legally from Bosnia, Iran and Scottland. I am sure they can tell you how difficult it is.
