You mean the hood trim or dirt collector? Why do we keep calling this thing a scoop it is pointless increased drag and even more stupid than fake chrome.

I think it's so funny those who are so quick to dis the sport, then probably go over to the "hood swap" forum and try to trade for one. Scoop makes the front of the truck look more aggressive imo. I do wish it had function though! All you OR owners, I bet 10% of you actually USE cc and multi-terrain. Don't get me wrong, if your taking your 35+k truck off road, get the OR. But if your like me and will be using the truck for a daily driver, the sport makes more sense as it looks nicer with the hood and body color codes bumper/fenders and comes with most features like navigation, bsm, auto brights, wireless charging etc that are identical to the OR.

I hear it makes a great spot for some LED’s..
I had a 2017 Sport Inferno.Looked sweet! Was my first automatic and took it offroad then traded it for the OR.
The hood was ok on the highway, but taking it offroad was difficult.Had a passenger and they even commented I couldn’t see the lines that well.
It wasn’t a functional vehicle for me.
I had a 2000 SR5 manual for 16yrs and went everywhere I wanted so I didn’t believe I needed the OR, but I was mistaken.

Honest answer from someone who owned a 2018 Sport for about 4 months and now an OR for about 2, buy for your needs and by needs I mean long term. I didn't and lost a chunk of cash trading my ACLB Sport for my DCSB Off Road.

    Off-Road:
    • Much better tires for off road, but still not ideal, and a fair bit noisier on the freeway... former mechanic and service manager at a suspension shop so I'm a bit more sensitive to this.
    • Locker and ATRAC/MTS+Crawl
    • Softer, more compliant ride but more body roll in turns at speed. Seriously not that bad and nothing atypical of a truck.
    • Straight hood and black plastic trim
    Sport:
    • Quieter road tires that are good enough with dirt but shit in mud
    • Much stiffer suspension with less roll but also a bit too stiff IMO over bumps. Was fine at first but eventually, it starts to feel jarring.
    • Skewp if that's your thing along with all body-matching panels

Major notes are that 2WD and 4HI are exactly the same. Both use the same systems and the ATRAC/MTS/Locker is only available in 4LO. That said, the Sport has 100% old school open diffs in 4LO because it deactivates the TRAC system. I got stuck as shit in some very mild mud up to my friend's cabin that my OR's ATRAC laughed at a month later.
