His halo's are Amber.

The halos themselves are not. But the clear "diffuser" that sits in front of them is slightly tinted from the back. This gets rid of the ugly white ring you typically see(when off) yet still allows the halo to shine at full brightness without sacraficing output. Win- win

The white will still shine through. just do a light mist of tint to knock down the bright white color. Anything heavier of a coat, the light transparency will suffer. Color match all depends on the halo manuf.... not all white matches. What will be different is the intensity (the OEM drl's are just optically engineered legit)

How do you like the leds vs the hids and 350s?

 

I love them.
They both have pros and cons.
Performance, the 350’s have the edge. (Projector vs projector) but as far as minimal components/wiring/etc the LEDS win. But that’s why I ended up putting 4 in the low beam so it’s a little better than just 1 set of RX’s.
That said, I do miss that awesome color band of the tuned RX’s.

 

@mesojdm could you point me to where I might purchase those Amber replacement LEDs for the drl?

 

They were a special request from diode dynamics. I don’t think they offer them anymore. But basically you are looking for a 1W 3030 amber chip
